Natural Plaster
Clay and lime plaster – thousands of years old, and more relevant today than ever.
Clay Plaster & Lime Plaster
Clay plaster and lime plaster are among the oldest wall finishes around – and two of the smartest materials you can put on your walls today. Both start with a simple formula: a binder (clay or lime) plus sand, with fibres or other natural additives mixed in depending on the recipe.
No chemicals, no synthetic fillers – yet the walls breathe, handle moisture on their own, and genuinely change the way a room feels. Once you've lived with clay or lime plaster, going back to conventional finishes feels like a downgrade.

The moisture whisperer
Clay absorbs excess humidity and releases it when the air gets dry – keeping indoor conditions balanced without any gadgets. It's also antistatic, soaks up odours, and brings warm, earthy tones straight out of the bag. No synthetic additives, no off-gassing – especially good for allergy sufferers and sensitive individuals.
You can make it yourself from scratch – sieve, mix, trowel on. No factory product required.

Tough on mould, built to last
Lime is naturally alkaline, which makes it antimicrobial and hostile to mould – no chemicals needed. Over time it absorbs CO₂ from the air and actually hardens, getting stronger with age.
There's something timeless about the look, too: the surface develops its own patina over the years – alive, slightly imperfect, and all the better for it.
What they share
Whether you go with clay or lime, both plasters share the same philosophy: natural materials that work with the building and its occupants, not against them.
Breathable
Open pores absorb and release moisture – the indoor climate pretty much takes care of itself.
Chemical-free
Purely mineral, nothing synthetic added. They even pull pollutants and odours out of the air.
Sustainable
Natural, locally sourced raw materials. Repairable, fully recyclable, and built to last generations.
DIY-friendly
Simple ingredients, straightforward application. No industrial product needed.
Design freedom
Smooth or textured, light or earthy – natural plasters can be tailored to suit any space.
Old buildings & new builds
Works on almost any substrate – just as good for renovations as for new construction.
